Do you experiment with green juices/smoothies?
I love a good fruit smoothie but green based smoothies are perfect for boosting your nutrient and vitamin intake. I’m talking iron, calcium, fiber, folate, vitamin c, vitamin k, antioxidants and more.
Often times they have an acquired taste. Sometimes they’re a little earthy or tangy. And every once in a while – let’s be real here – they’re even a bit nasty lol. But the way they make you feel!!!! I feel energized this morning after having my green smoothie. I literally feel like my cells are electrified. And I am ready to take this day head on.
Today’s smoothie includes the following:
- 2 cups kale
- 1/2 cup cucumber
- 1/2 cup avocado
- 1 tsp moringa
- 1/3 cup frozen apples
- 1/2 cup mango
- 1/2 lemon juice
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 cup water

Many people don’t eat their first green for the day until lunch time or even dinner. Although that’s fine, adding greens to a smoothie, especially for breakfast, helps you to increase the amount of nutrients that your body needs and thrives on. You can keep at simply greens or you can add fruits to give it flavor, it’s completely up to you. So don’t be afraid to experiment, you might find that you like green smoothies more than you think!
